[ebay] Atari Championship Sprint
« on: December 16, 2009, 08:38:37 PM »
just discovered this - an atari system ii championship sprint. this would look nice (after removing tons of dust) next to my atari system ii paperboy. although it's located in switzerland, it's not too far away from me, just a little over 300 km one way - that would be a short roadtrip ;). BUT: switzerland and the alps in winter = SNOW!!!

however: obviously the monitor isn't working properly and i was wondering how difficult it is to repair a med-res monitor or find a replacement for it.

i think the whole machine won't go away for a lot of money (to be honest: i think it won't be sold at all), but it looks like a lot of work and i'm already loaded up to the top of my capacity with arcade repairs. what do you guys think?
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Hmmm, it's in very good aestetic conditions (with the exception of the dust): i would suggest to catch some more info on such monitor repairing  :ghost:

Uhm I think that's a bad PCB, not a bad monitor....

hilarious!!!  ;D

Uhm I think that's a bad PCB, not a bad monitor....

i think it will be easier to find a replacement pcb than it will be to find a med-res monitor. right now i'm tending towards taking it, but i have asked the seller a couple of questions (along with better pics) to be absolutely certain before i make a decision!
