I'm going to visit the (Dutch) National Videogame Museum in Zoetermeer tomorrow, for the first time, so I needed a new T-shirt. And because I still love my Crazy Kong cab, I thought this design would be appropriate >

Artwork / Interview of a Dutch Pixel artist on Retro Video Gamer

I just had to share this.

I know Henk personally, met him a few times because we were/are both into Japanse Candy cabs and retro games. He is living just a few km's from my place and I think that he is a great guy and a great pixel artist.  :)

Technical Area / Request for monitor manuals
« on: May 05, 2018, 11:16:59 AM »
I'm looking for the following manuals (PDF):

- Barco DCD 2840
- Barco DCD 2740
- Hantarex CT29 EQ1

I searched for them on the internet, unaible to find. Has anyone got one of them in PDF and is willing to share? Thx in advance.  :)

Thx Matteo, I did that and it's working, the monitor came alive and is ready to use. :)

Oh Really? And that's why I was a bit confused, get it?  ??? ;D

128 V AC is not the same as 136 V DC, anyway the US250 has been made to correctly supply power to a Hantarex monitor and game board, via Jamma or not.

I did take a look at the schematics, but I was confused because: the MTC 9000 schematics mention 128V AC input for the chassis, but the US250 outputs 136V DC. I couldn't find anywhere in the MTC9000 schematics that this chassis can handle that too.

Take a look at US250 schematics, anyway see also my replies below.

Matteo

So I'm trying to wake up my old mame cabinet again, putting an Arcade monitor in it with a MTC 9000 chassis. The chassis needs 128V AC and 220V AC input. I also happen to have a US250 power supply.

A few questions:

- What is the 220V AC input for? Degauss circuit.

- The MTC9000 manual mentions that you can use a US250 power supply, but for what? The US250 only outputs 136V DC (and a bunch of lower voltages)? You can use it to supply Hantarex monitors and game board.

- If I can use the US250, then I obviously don't have 220V AC from it available. Is that a problem? See next reply.

- Next to 136V DC pins on the US250 there are two pins for degauss. To where do I connect them on the MTC9000? To 220 V AC input of the monitor, to supply the degauss circuit.

The MTC9000 needs 220V for the degauss, which is normally done on the chassis. You simply put the plug of the wires around the tube on the two pins you mentioned (instead of putting them to the two pins on the chassis).

Thx Luigi, but I just discovered that I did a bad reading of the degauss pins on the US250 yesterday. they do output 230V AC after all, so everything is fine.  ;D

LOL....no worries :)

Let me know when you have a full-time job for a Rotterdam location of your soon to be arcade chain  ;D ;D

Wise thing to do is to expand to The East before cluttering The Randstad.  :D :D :D :D

And also some pinball machines, besides the one that you listed? Video games and pinballs, with one or two table football games make a great mix. :)

I like it that the main focus is on Classic Arcade games, must be the influence of Steven (Gamekings amongst others), he really is into classic gaming. Can't wait which classic dedicated games will be presented, a lineup of Nintendo games, originals of course, would be awesome.

Please share the info about the crowdfunding here too, I'm interested in a pre-opening party!  :spaceace:

Can you already share the location, as that has been finalized?

That's very good news, please keep us posted here.  :)
