Very cool on the artwork progress.

I got a notification on the thread - so probably a good time to update it...

With the help of some of the awesome UK collectors, and Ed Lutz here locally - I am now fortunately to have two full Quasar boardsets with sound boards.  So hopefully, I should have some luck there.

I also have two marquees. I bought one off eBay for what I thought was a deal.  Turns out, the seller deliberately hid that the front was scratched to hell, which you couldn't see in the photos.  But fortunately Thorsten came along with his NOS ones, and I bought one off of him.

So - all that should be left is the harness.  To refresh that question - can anyone help me there with some photos as an initial compass?  I know that is an ask on someone's time, understand if it isn't possible...

I am fortunate that I have the overlay.

I added a photo of that, and the full cab, to the album.

So....what changes do I need to make on the....chassis?

Here is a Google Plus album of the Quasar, showing some photos from the inside of the cabinet.  There has definitely been some hacking...

@Belike - To answer your old note - The extra holes were filled in with bondo :(

I've been asking some questions and Bela was gracious enough to help me ask something I wouldn't have known otherwise.

There is a difference between the US Billiards and Zaccaria version of the boardset?  Some sort of color inverter?

This is a photo of the two boards?  I need the board on the right, what part of the board shown is the inverter?

@Etienne - Just got through the week and got to browse your threads.  Amazingly thorough and detailed work.  It takes a lot of effort doesn't it?  Found the same thing when I did the Pengo CPO.

Excellent job.

It appears there is another positive to the game being fairly local....the owner found the plexi overlay!

Can someone describe the cpanel to me?  Wood? Aluminum? Artwork aluminum on a metal base?

Good evening,

I have wanted a Zaccaria cabinet for awhile, and I might have the opportunity to pick one up - a Quasar.

I dropped Andre an email, and he was nice enough to email me back.  He suggested a couple of guys here are the experts on Zaccs (Bela, PaulSwan, Etienne), and might be able to point me in the right direction.

The cabinet was converted (hideous) into a Ms. Pac-man.  Almost as bad as that Pac-man Computer Space ;)

It needs a marquee and control panel.  It also needs a boardset, but I am most concerned with the possibility of finding a cpanel at this point.

If any of you folks have time, please point me in the right direction.

@Level42 - What is Eurocade?  A European collectors meetup?

@Ravage - Thanks for the offer.  I ended up connecting with him on FB, we have plans now to stop by and see him in Dec.

Thanks for all the help.

He 'should' be.  I've searched and tried to figure out how to reach him.  Know his handle?

Chris and I are taking a roadtrip (Chicago / Indianapolis) to GA (Georgia), and would love to stop by and see Jay's tremendous collection....or just hear some stories if there isn't time to see the games in person.

You may have gotten our other messages and aren't looking for visitors.  That is totally understandable.  Just wanted to exhaust all options.

That's 3pm EST, 9/26....or this may be 9/27 for some of you.  Not completely sure.  For example London, I believe this would be somewhere around 8pm there?

Pop over to Coinopspace.com to chat live with Cameron Silver, who developed Scared Stiff, Cirqus Voltaire, and worked on the doomed Pinball 2000 Star Wars Episode I machine (Love it or not) at Williams right before they closed their doors.  Some of you have seen the Tilt - The Battle To Save Pinball...Cameron was one of the interviewed designers.

Information about the Cameron Silver Chat;

And the thread where you can ask questions for Cameron;

This is another live Creator Chat in the series at CoinOpSpace.com.  We've already had live chat sessions with Owen Rubin, Tim Skelly and Jeff Kulczycki (Donkey Kong 2 creator), Steve Wiebe, Brian Colin, John Carpenter, Rusty Dawe, Warren Davis and Alan Murphy.  In the upcoming months we hope to be talking with one of the creators of Tron - Bill Adams and eventually another star from King of KONG.  Periodically check out the "EVENTS" page for more info:

Hope to see some of you over there...

Alan Murphy, who had a hand in developing APB, Gauntlet, and Indiana
Jones Temple of Doom at Atari, is going to be doing a live chat at
Coinopspace.com today (August 8th) at 3pm EST.  Alan has worked in the
gaming industry for quite some time, working for both Sega and EA and
even helped port / develop a number of games for Atari's 2600 and 5200
consoles.

For a full list of the console games, as well as a link to his full
game creation credits, visit the event posting.

http://www.coinopspace.com/events/creator-chat-alan-murphy

The hope is that we'll have specific questions about the games he
worked on, remote details, thoughts about the development, whatever it
may be....but coming from collectors who love those specific games he
developed.  Submit all your questions here;

http://www.coinopspace.com/forum/topics/questions-for-alan-murphy

For a little more about Alan, if you haven't heard of him, and even
his work on Atari console games, check out my post;

Also would like to hear feedback afterwards if you attend, how it can
be better, and who you might like to see in future chats;
