a friend of mine, markus, works for one of the four big german electricity companies (enbw). as a birthday present, he offered to go with me in his company car and help me take the sign down - so this is basically a legal operation!

finally FINALLY F-I-N-A-L-L-Y some progress on this! after talking to some of the neighbours i got what i was looking for: a name! i also learned that the house was auctioned off a couple of years ago to someone living about 70 kilometers away. he wanted to restore the house, but never showed up since to do so. i was also given a partial license plate number!

with that information in hand i managed to retrieve both the address and the telephone number of the guy who is supposed to be the actual owner of that house - and therefore the neon sign! i'll try to get in touch with him tonight.

I think he'll say: sorry dude, but you know....I've got this strange hobby.....you know....those old arcade videogames......and my plan is to turn it into a arcade museum so I'm going to keep and restore the sign and namel it "Elektro Arcade".....
