Super Cobra for my Zaccarde
« on: May 18, 2014, 09:25:52 PM »
Hi gents,

today i moved my "new" super cobra to my lair. It was for 20 years in a Party room;-)

It seems to be in good shape and complete:

there are funny Little Stickers around, but no problem to remove them:

the inside is clean an complete:

there is a volume control near the cashbox:

and a for me  unknown connector type  (here adapting to Galaga) - I have two Super Cobra PCBs for replacement:
maybe someone has seen it before?

Bezel, Marquee and CP are alright.

next week I will start cleaning and CRT Exchange.

Nice addition to your Zacc row, this one looks really nice and almost fully original. ;)
I also had some pcbs with that type of connector, I guess it is an operator hack.
You just have to rewire it to Konami pinout. ;)

I had a vague memory that I've seen a variation on the glass that has no rocket ship that I thought might have been for Cobra. I had a hunt around and found a picture on Roth's site (attributed to UKVAC):

Does that look Cobra-esque?

Paul.

There are both logos (Zaccaria/Konami) printed to the glass, I think there is a good chance, that it is for Super Cobra.
