Sometimes a Cab (Zaccaria Universal) has to die;-(

Hi guys,

I think everone knows how hard it is to claim a cab as "not worthful".

Last week I've got two "new" cabs, an universal Zaccaria Hyper Olympic and an Zaccaria Super Galaxian (that's another story soon).

They where not in good shape but complete, the Super Galaxian has a Crazy Kong and a Phoenix CP extra.

Because the seller is a nice guy, and I only was interested in spare parts and the CPs we made the deal, and it was a fair Price for both sides!

It's up to me now to make decisions.  

1 - I have no space for the super galaxian right now, but maybe when it is here in Hamburg.
2 - what to do with the universal Zaccaria Hyper Olympic

so today was the day to work on the universal Zaccaria Hyper Olympic

from outisde the first sight it looks ok, after removing a lot of black earth;-(



when going to Detail you can see there is more then dirt in the cab, it's a lot of water;-( and a lot of mold;-( and a lot of rust;-(
















after a break I decided to let him go;-(  so I've took everything that could be a spare part in the future:



and in the depth of the cab I found (as usual) a last greeting from the glory arcade Ages:


So next week the rest of the cab will go to the junkyard;-(

Its Always sad to see a cab go, but sometimes you have to.

you will not remove the coindoor ?

Can you scan the CPO for me ?  i dont have that one in my collection yet

I will not remove the coin door, nor the coin box.

If someone needs parts, please feel free to ask.

I will scan the CP when it's dry, clean an disassembled!

The mold can be got rid of with diluted bleach solution. It's common on cabs stored in a damp location. Zac cabs, thankfully, tolerate damp just about the best I've seen any cab thanks to the full gloss paint over everything (even the glassware). Compared to Vernimarks Eyes, yours is mint
Shame to see it go, but only the control panel (and possibly the wiring) is dedicated.

The t molding is hard to find, if you could save it it could be used to patch other zacc cabs.

If you can remove the coindoor, and put it on EADS, i am more than happy to receive that

i mean if its going to the dumpster, i might as well take it

hehe, if it takes that long too as you needed to grab the cab from my house, there should happen much at your home within a year ;-)
