UPDATE!

okay, today I started to mount the plasterboards on the last wall... but... I ran out of plasterboards... arg... I have to buy new ones befor I can continue...

but I have 2 wall already fully "plastered", so I continued there:

tomorrow I will sand the 2 walls and then it's primertime... :)
I will also finally complete the electric-stuff (couldn't do so last weekend because we ran out of some stuff...)

More to come!  ;)

Looking good, looking good ! May I ask why you use the green one's sometimes and sometimes the regular one's ? I'm was a no-no before, but I believe the green one's are for moist rooms like bathrooms ? (and more expensive because of that). Really fun to see the progress, keep up the good work, you will be rewarded :D

Thx L42! :)  You're right, the green ones are for bathrooms or kitchens and so on... I used them on only one wall, why? because this is an outer wall, meaning behind the wall there is only soil & rocks (mostly solid rock). All the other walls are inner walls, there are more rooms behind them. I just tought it would be better to use the green ones on the outer wall. Yeah, they really do cost more... I think one costs 4€ more than the whites (but the whites are only 12mm, the greens are 24mm).

Hopefully I will be done soon and get my reward...  ;D ;D ;D (couldn't even test my 2 new Astros yet because I have no space... :( )

Hi guys,

I'm sorry I didn't make a new update yet but there is nothing to see... I had a rough week at work and not much time... only sanded the wall and primerd it yesterday. Today i will paint it and see if that will be enough to cover the plasterboards or if I need to wallpaper it (dont wont to do that...).
I will make some pics after painting it this evening (it will become red! ;D).

I didn't have time to get new plasterboards and laths yet, so I couldn't continue on the other 2 walls or the ceiling...  :-\

Yes, let's see how it looks, but I can assure you applying glass fiber (like I did for my two rooms) is very quick, cheap & easy  ;)

Red? Nice...Tt'll be the Logan's DK Game Room  ;D

Hi Darth,

I wanted to have a smooth wall, not textured... but i think it wont work out the way I planned...

HereÄs the wall after sanding and primer:

and here after the first coat of colour:

As you can see it doesn't cover up the white caps between the boards... I will go for a second layer tomorrow... maybe it will turn out red after all...  ;)

Red is a hard color to paint, I painted a wall red a few years ago and I needed a primer + 3 coats of red paint to hide the seams. :ghost:

Yes, like petieken said, it's a 'difficult' color, but don't be afraid at this step... you've only paint the first layer : primer  ;)

Let's see how it'll look after the third layer.

Courage my friend  :spaceace:

Tell me about it ! Red=hell ! I did two layers, and was planning on a third, but I gave up.... I tried it with the current lighting, and it's not going to show all that bad, and most of the walls will be covered by machines anyway, and on the rest there will be neons and decoration.... :)

I think if I will ever need to do a red wall again, I would start with some gray layers or something like that.

Blue however covers like nuts. Two layers and perfect finish :)
