this happens when you let your employee design the posters without taking a second look. :(

since they were to expensive re-print because of the special uv-ink... we left it there.. but you are right.. i should get a blue marker and paint over it. it is kind of an embarrassment though the only people who seem to care are indeed... teachers. ;)
Looking for Dragons Lair 1 or 2, Space Ace, Double Dragon, Robotron and yeah... a Shinobi would be cool, too!

At that time you sounded like it was your absolute holy grail and I think you even said you wouldn't ever sell it (I might be wrong on that part).
To be honest, I am a little pissed, considering you talked us into selling the damn thing, as we originally had no plans in giving it away...
Mmmh, but you forget that i had paid you a very hard price for that cab, and it´s my own decision what i want to do with it... or not? ::) I had never said that i didn´t sell that or similar ones....
And very important to know: the PP from you was totally DEAD and incomplete! I had selling it to a Robotron expert with the hardware to fix them. without them you had no chance to fix it.

YOU offered the price, as we had no plans in selling it. And you knew exactly what to expect from that machine.
You could at least offered it to us to buy it back.
Oh man, just a short time before we sold it to you we declined an offer from Greg McLemore from KLOV, just because we wanted to keep it.
We sold it only to you because you were so desperate and I wanted to do someone a favor.
Lesson learned, I guess.

Why this debate here in this thread and in public? ???

finally in short:
You sold me a untested cab for XXX euros in a 100% free will!!! If you dont wanna sold a cab, then please do it not... I dont have forced you to do it.
After the cab arrived i saw that it was incomplete and nobody knows from where do get the missing parts... again, i had not the "hardware" to complete it and no space for a dead cab, and that was why i have sold this machine after any months with €deficit to a robotron expert. If I had known that you rebuy the cab you was the first guy for me for sure, but unfortunately i dont know that. sorry for this. :-\

btw. this machine is in the best hands in his old homeland area, and that was the only right place for it!!! i´m a GDR kid and this cab is our history here, because we had playing with it in our childhood and had the memories with it, and nobody from foreign lands. thats my opinion. many east Germans asked me for it, because it is a nice part of their childhood.

We sold it to you basically ONLY because you really, really wanted it (I wouldn't say you were "nagging", but it came close), because you are a GDR Kid and childhood memories, yaddayaddayadda. And becuase I knew you from the forums I finally caved in (ok, the money sure did help). Otherwise we had NEVER the intention of selling it. We didn't sell it to GReg McLemore and we wouldn't have sold it any other guy.

You knew it was untested, and I provided you with pics. I don't think you ever mentioned it was incomplete (which I wasn't aware of? What was missing?)

Ok, in future I blindly plug in every Cab I'm getting (or planning to sell) and then take a look were the smoke came from and why. So at least I can sell it as "tested".

I am a bit sorry that this thread turned into a little fight between two really cool guys.
Hey... I understand both sides but I think that the owner should be the one who is responsible for the future of the cab. Once the cab is sold you have to let go... especially when you know that it is in good hands now. :)

So... guys... shake hands again.

In the meantime I am the one with the biggest trouble now... cause I never ever ever will be able to bring the cab down to my basement. :D

Puh... the cab works again
« Reply #43 on: March 10, 2013, 06:37:13 PM »
it was much much more work than expected. because of the face that the cab must have been populated by mice for the past few years (they killed at least 3 cables and they were so kind to eat the manuel and leafe 3kg of mouseshit in it) it took us longer than we thought. the gas pedal also needed some serious adjustment and the steering wheel needs new feders. maybe somebody here can help me out with them.
