Hello Everyone.
« on: August 06, 2012, 09:01:22 AM »
 :)
Hi.
I'm not a new member here, but i've never post on this great community (but see your great roadtrips  ;D).
I come from Italy and usually i collect sega only stuff (racing machine games in particular).....but in the last few months i start another idea....to collect old dedicated too...(at least the ones i play when i were young).
In the meantime i start with a "classic".....power drift...
In my wanted list there is:
Tehkan World Cup coctail
Outrun upright or deluxe
Hyper Olympics upright or coctail
Super Hang On upright or deluxe (just found an upright)
Enduro Racer upright
and there are many others i really want, but the big problem (apart the money obviously  ;D) is the space....
Now i "stole" half of my father in law warehouse (25mq) for my hobby....and i'm trying to stole the remaing half too. ;D
Here is what i currently have:
Sega F-Zero AX Deluxe motion cabinet
Sega Rally Twin (for my the best arcade racing ever made)
Sega Rally 2 mono (used to play scud race too)
Sega Initial D sitdown (all restored)
Sega Initial D sitdown (converted to outrun 2 machine)
Sega New Net City
Sega Touring Car sitdown (i'll convert this to a "universal" racing machine)
Sega Power Drift upright (to be renewed, but "new parts" already found)
Sega Super Hang On upright (just won on ebay)
Data East  Tales From The Crypt pinball (renewed)
Garlando Maracana foosball (bought it new a month ago)

That's all for now....
Pics to follow.
 ;D

Impressive list. I had a Power Drift upright for some time and really enjoyed it. Regret that I had to sell it but sometimes you have to set your priorities.

Welcome here !

Thank you for your nice words...
I just forgot to add the only one lives in my home...
A taito Egret3 cabinet.

Me too like power drift....
I just hope i'm able to perform the wood restoration on this, caused by some water damage....
I see all your great restorations and i really hope to be able to do at least a decent job because this cab deserve it.
I already found a "new"control panel and new side arts (new old stock, someone could tell me how to "scan" them??).
Now i've to repair the mtc-9000 chassis (better to find another one i think..) and just see what happen... ;D
Below some pics....

Really cool collection. and welcome here

i love all sega racers too :p

I still need to restore my 2 power drift cabs, i have 2 different model, the black european model (which come from andre) and a grey one (seems american version). If you can scan your side art, that'd be appreciate :)

I'll try to do that since seems that those side arts aren't available anywhere on the network.
Mine is the black version, but the arts coming from US.
Hope they go fine together.

Nice collection! :)
Can you tell more about the Initial D that was converted to Outrun 2? How did you do it?

Thank you. ;)
Converting initial d into outrun 2 is really simple.
You just need a chihiro motherboard with outrun2 gdrom.
Than you need a model 3 dashboard (coming from scud race/sega rally2/daytona2) and you've just to change the initial d dashboard with this one.
All is plug&play.

Welcome here glstar   :D

Sega racers are the best, for sure. I also have a Super Hang-on upright: one of those underestimated cabinets that addicts you after few plays and you cannot live without ;)
