how to ... LUBRICATE A TRACKBALL???
« on: February 02, 2009, 11:20:30 AM »
Hi guys!
What kind of spray / fluid are you using to lubricate your tracksballs? I've just received my marble madness kit and - besides from being full of dirt and old grease - these trackballs could really use some new lubricant. So: what is the "tool of the day"?
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Funny  ::) I've just got a Marble Madness kit too  :P Well... I just have the panel

And like you, one of the two ball doesn't roll very well... So I'll have to lubricate it too  ::)

Same question than Superully ? Any good advices ?

if you can't get this let me know, no problem to get some to you as long as its ok to post aerosols.
wd40 is great stuff, you can get 'pens' with it in, handy for delicate application.

hm, wd-40? I've already thought about that, but I'm not sure whether this is the right stuff to use since one of its main ingredients is oil - and I don't want the trackballs to be covered in a shiny slippery coat of oil. Right now I tend towards using silicone spray, but perhaps other opinions will pop up here ...
