« on: November 19, 2012, 11:45:11 PM »
Remember these guys ?

Sub-D 15 "plastic version" connectors....I need one to extend the "reach" of my Atari XEGS keyboard....

If anyone has one or know where to buy please let me know :)

Yep, saw those but if possible I prefer to have a "plastic only" version.
reason is I'm not sure a cable like that will fit on the machine because of the handscrews on the sides of the plug, that is, this plug is wider....

Here is the one I'm looking for:

http://www.startech.com/~JXT100

As you can see the page says its been discontinued, other (rare) sources I found are out of stock etc.....

everything fits with the help of a dremel  ;) ;D

seriously now, is it maybe an option to take a old joystick at a fleamarket and just mount that cable in the keyboard ?

I understand that a extention cord is way more nice , but if they are so rare to find....

or cut a cable of that joystick / gamepad and find a female plug, that is not the connector that has to enter in the unit so that might also work out...
