Inspired by you guys  Wink
Though, thereīs not as many pictures, but ill try to do better next time  Cool

Itīs Friday the 19th of june, lovely weather - only some clouds on the sky....
Im going to pick up the Daytona i bought 1 week earlier, for some pension money the danish goverment decided to pay out early...  Grin Grin Grin

The trip is 283 km, one way – aprox. 2 hours 56 min. in a car _without_ trailer....

started out nice, only, as mensioned before, some clouds.. thoug a few more than when i left!

Well, no pics of the trip to Ålborg - sorry, but after a quick game, a few pics og the back of the machine, so in case i forgot to assemble it, i had some refference... OMG! - they used "light" cables!!!!! Shocked Shocked

Got the thing rolled on the trailer, and wrapped....
Note to self: Next time use a tarp!!!!!

On the way home!!! weeh, oh, some bad weather, i hope itīs warterproof...!

Yep, itīs still there...

well, on the Jyske highway there wasent that many cars, and the weather didīnt helped either, so, my right foot was bored... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes (buy buy driver licence....)

Finally home, got it stored for the night at my working place, so it could dry out...

The next day, got it home, and powered it up, and it worked like a charm! - no serious burn in, the sides are almost scratch free, overall a descent buy!

The numbers: 566 KM, 7― hours driving _with_ trailer...

This Roadtrip is officially over!

Me enjoying the evening, making the Daytona USA roadtrip thread...  Wink

Wow, nice find! That's almost just a boat trip away from me too! Wink
I used to play this one a lot in the arcades, but I haven't seen them for sale here. Can I ask if they are expensive, like for example Sega Rally?

congrats on the catch, michael! while i don't like those modern racing games at all, i love the pictures with the machine on the trailer. and from time to time it doesn't hurt to get a game that's fully working. Wink

Congrats Muerto !!!

Very nice looking Daytona !!!

I <<<<LOVE>>>>> Daytona, one of the best racing games even today IMHO.

I am in the very lucky position to play a full moving one (Daytona2 I think ?) at Luc's place every now and then and it is SO much fun to play it.

Also love the empty roads in Denmark.... Wink

I guess 80 is the limit with a trailer (it is here) ?

I also see you enjoy a nice Belgian beer. There's a funny story about this beer: The owner (InterBev) thought it was a good (read cost efficient) idea to close the original brewery in Hoegaarden and move the production to Jupille (Where Jupiler comes from) but they kept failing to get the right quality and taste and so they decided to move back the production to Hoegaarden again.

I love stories like that, where the men-in-suits who all think everything can be calculated and valued in figures get their deserved part....

Sorry for drifting off here....enjoy your Hoegaarden, and you should definitly try Zonderik one time (Luc's beer) Wink

Itīs ok to go off topic, but in this case, i had the beer in the picture and then itīs ok.... Grin - narh, fun aside, Not everything must be about arcade. And i love the story! _And_ the beer! it also nice to have a slice of lemon in there!, and for a month ago i was to a wedding, where i was in charge of the beer, and of course hoegaarden was the beer being tapped.. 45 persons/60 liter hoegaarden=drunk  Roll Eyes

I love Daytona USA also. I like it better than the second one, but maybe that's because nobody around me had the second one and I didn't get to play it much.

Funny story about Daytona USA.. the arcade near me had 4 units hooked together. It was only me and some black kid playing.. he was younger than me. We were on the Intermediate course I believe, definitely not the tri-oval. From the start I could tell he didn't know the track and I have played it many times. I'm using manual.. he's on automatic.

I make it all the way around the track and am behind him now at full speed. I ram right into the back end of his car and start quickly turning the steering wheel left and right all the time still on his bumper.

It was so funny to see everyone's response around us and his response. My motions caused him to lose control and swerve.
