Round head bolts with square collar
« on: August 27, 2009, 05:06:43 PM »
we all have some panels that needs thoose specific bolts, maybee some of you have ordered new ones in rorder to replace rusted or damaged ones. if this is the case, you can maybee provide some help as I am looking for a large amount (100-200) of thoose specific bolts with the following specification:
diameter: M3
length : 16 or 20 mm
finish : nickel or chrome

the only problem, is that I can only find at least M5 or larger ones.

do you have some suppliers to recomend.

M4 is the smallest I've seen so far and I could only get them from Thorsten "Luigi" on the forums.

Maybe these guys can source if for you. I've ordered all the screw parts that I needed for my SW yoke from them:

By the way, these are called "carriage bolts"....

www.starcab.net has them: http://www.starcab.net/index.php?cPath=89_135&osCsid=e79af4c0217d8da077f3edcbe9f68959
Ordered them myself for my Sega Astro City control panel and my Donkey Kong control panel. They are located in France.

Good luck! :)

Yepstarcab has them, but I would prefer another distributor :D.
buying large amount of furniture from a reseller isn't the most economic way.

Yeah, they're not exactly cheap. But it should be possible to negotiate about price with the amounts you mention.

And again, maybe the modelfixings guys can give you a better deal. They added a part to their catalogue per my request so they are willing and able to help out....

Another road would be http://www.fabory.com/?ch=FRE

For large amounts you probably don't want to buy them there, I'm not sure.
But for my needs (about 12 pieces) they were perfect.

anyway thanks to you guys for the help and usefull insights.

I think M3's are used on the Nintendo coin door right ? In that case, I need a couple, like 2 or 3 I think... :D

You're right about fabory, I checked it later. Those companies suck ! ;)
