Found! Nintendo coin door
« on: July 25, 2009, 11:30:01 PM »
For my scratch build DK cabinet I am in desperate search of a Nintendo coin door. None on Ebay at the moment, and when there is one they won't ship to the Netherlands most of the time.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the replies.
No I haven't tried KLOV and Arcadecontrols forum yet, will do that.

After a few months of not working on my scratch-build DK cabinet, I finally picked up this project with which I am busy for quite some time now,
Last week I finally painted the cab blue. Cabinet is almost done now. Just one final coat of blue and a final coat of black and the painting is done.
But I just won't settle with the Happ Coin door I originally bought for this cabinet.
It just wouldn't look right :)

For anyone interested, take a look at my progress so far --> http://donkeykongarcade.blogspot.com/

Thanks to Sonic 1992 I was able to buy this coin door. Seller ships the door to Sonic 1992 in the USA and then he will ship it to me in the Netherlands :) Thanks Barry!

I am so happy! It will be an expensive piece of history when I finally have it in my hands but it's worth it.
So glad I settled for nothing less than original.

Now, maybe it's time to get me a DK board instead of a computer :)

Question for Scr33n or Darth Nuno,
if I use a computer, could you point me in the right direction about using DOS AdvanceMAME? Installing etc?
I have a Windows XP computer running MALA frontend with MAME in my Sega Astro City.
But for this DK project I think I want to try DOS AdvanceMAME. Allready have a homemade VGA->Scart cable like you two build them :).

Doesn't look to complicated.
