Sega Hockey TV - Another Pong-Clone
« on: September 09, 2017, 08:29:18 AM »
Last night I went on a roadtrip with Kralleman to the capital of Sweden to pick up a game I got on hold for a few months.
We came back to my place at 02:00 så today Im tired... Will unload it later today and post some more pictures.

It is semi-working, we tried it at the sellers warehouse and the burnt smell from the TV were nasty... it shows a fucked up picture but atleast it is not dead.
There is also a PCB-issue where the ball get stucked and never leaves the middle line.... anyways, another project.

Some info about the game https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8127

Ah!
Another bronze age treasure saved!
Good job!
Dreaming of a Namco Galaxian waiting in a barn for me... somewhere! A Nintendo Sheriff would also make me happy. And a SNK Sasuke Vs Commanders or a SEGA Samurai... Argh too many; in fact!

Okay!
So here is an update with some details.
Last saturday myself and Kralleman took a better look at the game and took the "Sega Enterprises Ltd"-branded TV out of it and took it apart to reveal the chassis.
The chassis is now taken out of the TV and I have made a cap-list.

The TV has a blue plexi mounted on the front if anyone wonder :D

The game has less than 3K coins on the counter and look kind of new-ish on the inside apart from some dust due to the lack of a back-door.
On the inside of the coindoor there is a label telling me it ones was owned by a company named Stigs Automater in Karlstad, Sweden. I have never heard of that company before but we have another former vendor from Karlstad that we got some games from that we could ask.

I give you some random pictures of it.

Yeah, Im waiting for capacitors from mouser,  as soon as I get them I hopefully get the TV working ok.
Then there is a PCB issue that I hope Kralleman would like to dig into with me.
No schematics to be found though.  ::)

A Volvo built in Belgium (Gent?)
The engine is built only 30min from where I live though.

My V50 has been hauling alot of our games, we have had it for numerous roadtrips and It has always been good to us, even with a trailer with 700kg overload...

Am I the only to think that these TTL-only PCBs look so elegant?
(besides the fact that designing a game with TTL only is a sort of "tour de force").
With their TTL placed on a grid etc...
 ;D
