OK, here's the second part

  ...
Still driving on the England motor way

Arriving at location...
A big thanks to Oliver -the seller- and his family for the hospitality. We really appreciate.
Ok, so I'm entering 'The Lair' :

Woow so many beautifull arcade games ... WoW ... The best collection I ever seen with my own eyes

OK, let's chech the first baby to bring back in Belgium...

 ...a
Star Wars Cockpit

A lot of work to restore it because the game is empty :
- no pcb
- no xy monitor
- no alimentation
- a small crack on the roof
- some scratch on the cab
...but that game deserves to be played again

Ok, let's bring it back  to the truck...

The truck is big, but the arcades games too... near 2 meters for the cockpit

...getting mesures...

Ok, the best thing to do is to bring back the second game, and see how to place the games in the truck...

...yes, it's a
Dragon's Lair II

in a very nice condition

Now, the two games can be loaded... but how to place them

:

...first, the Star Wars cockpit...

Arggg, the Dragon's Lair II is too high

... well, let's try an other fitting...

Hopefully, Oliver is a strong man, and he's able to load/unloaded very easily

  Very impressive

We are playing TETRIS, searching the right combinaison

OK, we got it... at least

... it should be fine like that ...

Still some 'goodies" to load  : 19" Hantarex monitors, Dragon's Lair II pcb *spare*, Philips video disc *spare*

... Time to pay these new toys

Thanks again to you Oliver, for your gentiless and your family hospitality

It's a please to meet a true arcade addict like you...

I hope to meet you back very soon

Ok, it's time to leave because we did not eat yet... nothing at all :-(
SO, a small break...

... on the road again ... near London... traffic jam

...arriving the shuttle, and the english toll...

Two customs offices arrive...
Cool, they both recognize the games

The first one said : "WOoww Dragon's Lair"

The other said : " The Star Game, I used to play it when I was young... there is a long time ago"

They were very nice, and they asked me a lot ot personal questions such "Cool, how many games tdo you have, How does it work, ... "
I ask them : "Do you often see guys like me, bringing back arcade games oversea... ?"
They say "No, It's the first time we see that "

So we get the shuttle without any probem

Arriving in Belgium... still 400 km to drive

... 3 hours l8ter...

... it's getting cold (-4° C )  & late

... and now the snow

  ..and no snow tires

Hopefully, the snow was only present on the end of this road trip...
we arrive at my place at 00:00 am ... but it's not finished yet...

..we have to unload the toys

First, the beautifull Dragon's Lair II

Then the all famous Star Wars cockpit ... now I really deserve the name
'DARTH' Nuno

That's it

Time to bring back my friend Burt at home ( Thanks for you help Burt, has usual

), clean up the rental truck... it's 01:30am

... we are a *little bit* tired

This is the biggest roadtrip I ever made

 - 1300 km on the ground
- 100 km under the sea ( EuroTunnel ) ...

  - 4 country : Luxembourg ( where I rent the truck ) -> Belgium -> France -> England
Et voila...
No work to do on The Dragon's Lair II, because it's working perfectly :-)
I'll start the Star Wars restoration soon...
Stay around for more pictures
