Arduino stupid application to implement free play
« on: February 21, 2017, 07:56:50 PM »
As told in the title this is a very simple application can help to implement free play

https://youtu.be/MAv-gBxbj-w

Relays permit to this circuit to be installed in any case, for instance in zac games that use matrix for inputs.
These relays have no/nc contacts so this funny thing can be installed in games like Tank or similar that need both nc and no contacts

Very cool !

Feels a bit like shooting on a fly with a tank though ;) Couldn't something like that be made with some simple TTL's ?

Ah noooooo, I'm way too old-fashioned  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ahaahah that's true, but consider that arduino nano costs more or less 1 euro and the total cost is more or less 5.
If you try to temporize the coins and start bittons with ttls you spend more or less the same money but with a bigger amount of hours soldering

everything is ready to be used

or what I really used

actually this is an experiment.

bluetooth module costs  about 1 euro, the same for RFID module.
I wanted to build a sort of game-controller with some functionalities as:
enable/disable coins
reprogram credits per coin
insert remotely coins or reset the game.
control the audio (on/off or volume)

probably I'll produce a special version for asteroids: pushing start1+2 swaps the board from asteroids to asteroids dx and v.v.

assuming that a game just switched on has 0 credits and 0 coins, arduino can insert automatically coins or we can write an app that controls our arcades counting the credits, games with one player, games with 2 players...

...

V2.0 supports counter.
Counts how many coins intriduved for single play an double. Each counter refers to local session (from last switch on) and global counters.
Everything shown on a small internal display
