wow, awesome rair cab you have there.
I would MAME it, it is badly hacked already.

I know what I am talking about, I might be the only Portraits-owner out there.
Your CP is hacked and the camera and flash-bulbs are gone.
Before I look for a PCB I would look for that parts as t runs emulated as good as with a PCB.
I have a dream....that one day....all members of forum are the same....no matter how long ago they have joined, how many games they own or how many posts they wrote ;)

Hi, cpo is easy to reproduce, original design is under the aluminum sheet!
Marquee: white paper foil  hide camera + flash-bulb

Interesting! - any chance you could take a picture of the marquee without that white stripe?

You're in the wrong forum, dude. A rare cab should NOT be mamed at all!!!

so true, Luigi
Looking for Dragons Lair 1 or 2, Space Ace, Double Dragon, Robotron and yeah... a Shinobi would be cool, too!

As far as your work is reversible , i do not see any problem using MAME to revive a classic. Its' way worse to strip an original art and replace it with a repro because it's not perfect or doesnt look good... there are different points of view as you can see, and the forum is the right one ;)

I agree. If you cannot get a working PCB it is OK for me to use Mame. But I really don't want to see an original and rare cab to be transformed to a 2 player 6 button fighting machine running mame ;)

And there are other forums with lots of people turning dedicated cabs into Mame or xxxxin1-Machines  :-\

That's not the way most of the guys around use to go :)

Well, we are saying the same thing then. Irreversible modifications to a cabinet should not be confused with the use of MAME anyhow: the project is on our side, not something to fight with as someone think ;)

No, i know, but it's also true that synonym9 didnt mention to install 6 or more buttons on a dedicated cab, nor a 60-in-1 ;)

I think that game is not properly emulated in MAME.
What about the Portraits found in "the road trip of the century"? No PCB in that one?
