New Improved Dr Pepper
« on: March 06, 2015, 09:03:05 PM »
NO WAY - What is this aspartame puke that has now hit the UK.
It's not even diet Dr.Pepper. It's New Improved ORIGINAL Dr.Pepper with Aspartame.   And it's horrible

How can this happen?.  What next Coke?  Crazy...
From Wikipedia
"UK Variation United Kingdom's version of Dr Pepper, along with various other countries, is manufactured with sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup (much like Heritage Dr Pepper in the US, as mentioned above). Since August 2014, a "New Improved" flavour has been marketed in the UK that reduces the amount of sugar from 10.3g per 100ml to 7.2g while adding artificial sweetners (aspartame and acesulfame k)."

I'm not bashing Aspartame - I'm not into all that conspiracy theory stuff, I just think it tastes horrible and fake.

So - European Dr.Pepper lovers, maybe you should store some originals if this muck comes to your shores. There may be no warning.
I just rescued 10 cans from my local chinese takeaway, I have 1 can left for the next 10 months.
I may just survive - you may not be so lucky.

What the...?

I only drink Dr.Pepper when I'm eating at Benjamin's Diner in Mannheim. Amazing burges and Dr.Pepper....it simply belongs together. Would hate to find the taste changed the next time  >:(

Well, it's been I while I jumped to ...Dr Pepper Zero.
Not exactly the same taste, yeah, but I'm definitively more comfortable with less calories...
Of course, I still drink the regular one from time to time, for special occasions like meetings or road trip  ;D
Oh, the cherry one is tasty too... never tried the vanilla yet...

Is that color due to the "New Formula"  or is it just the light ?
