Hi Luigi,
I don't have a restoration page up yet as I've just started looking at this cab. What's missing:

* The foot pedal assembly.
* The back door.
* The blanking metal plates that cover the cut-outs that are on either side of the control panel. One is fitted, one is missing. About 4" by 8" held in with 4 screws.
I'm not sure I see these on Buck Rogers so it might have been a design that was only used on the Universal edition of the cab. Therefore, they may not be present on the cab you were looking at if it was dedicated Buck Rogers.
* The PCB mounting plate and PCB.
* The back artwork perspex cover panel and instruction card inserts.
* The coin box cover and coin basket (this is the cash box door that's underneath the coin door). On this cab, it looks like a plate cover with no hinge.

What it would be good to have spares of:
* The IGR power supply brick.
* The wiring loom, particularly board side.

Mines not a Buck Rogers - it a Universal Cockpit, like this one...

http://www.zzzaccaria.com/images/Adverts/1984%20-%201.jpg

...that seems the same as a Buck Rogers cockpit but without the Buck Rogers specific artwork peices (back marque & instruction cards). I'm going to make it a Buck Rogers as I can't seem to find another game that would fit this cab properly.

Many thanks, Luigi, it would have been very difficult to find the pedal for this cab!

Paul.

PS: Are you saying that the cab that was wrecked was Marco's old Buck Rogers cab? :'(

So you have the yoke and just need plates from the controlpanel?

I don't think there was a dedicated Buck Rogers cockpit from zaccaria. IMHO they were built into these awesome cabs :)

Sorry, no wiring, no electronics (except that small pcb on top of the pedal assy) :(

I will take a picture from the stuff I removed from the wooden base so you see what I have.

Yes, these plates that go here, if they exist:

...and the cash box door...

The back door looked like it was behind the cab in the original video posted, but I can make one myself if it's gone now.

If the pedal was all that survived, that's really the only bit that's critical.

Thanks again for taking the time and effort to get it!

Paul.

Thanks for the offer of boards, Marco. I have only one untested set and will likely need to repair it so I would like to take you up on your offer of the left over none-workers you have.

Yeah, the control panel on mine is trimmed down on both sides to reveal two factory cut-outs. The blanking plate on the left looks home made, so I wonder if it shipped with a full cover with an intent for operators to cut down the plastic molding to use them? Never seen the manual for the cockpit...

Since Buck Rogers does not use the two side cutouts, I need to do one of two things:-
* Reproduce two blanking plates or a continuous under-panel to re-cover them.
* Find a complete control panel molded plastic cover that's not cut down.

The control panel of the wrecked one is now gone? That was a complete one and I could have used that to replace my cut down one. I only needed the molded plastic cover, not the flight stick itself :( Ah well, maybe it'll turn up one day :(

And I've a feeling I might be missing that strip of metal along the top of the control panel shown in your picture. The monitor glass is out on mine so I'm not sure how it's supposed to be put together yet.

Yes, that's the cash box door. There are screws that hold it in, if you grab it, please keep the screws :) Yay!

Thanks, Luigi.
Paul.

Yes in this case I actually do remember that but......I thought Paul had that one (a generic Zacc cockpit) _and_ a Buck Rogers cockpit....

Marco's one was the only Buck Rogers I know of. I wanted it of course but it fell beyond my grasp in the end :|
The remaining cockpits I've seen turn up have been Universals.
Paul.

Paul, did you find the pedal?
Do you want this?

It's SEGA, unknown working conditions.

Ah, these are the boards I'm going to send you

sorry for the flash...

One board is damaged for sure; one chip is missing. I bought ages ago these boardsets and I mixed parts in order to have one working so I suppose the rest are not working :O

Marco, I removed the pedal assy from the arcade junkyard ;)

Just didn't find the time to take pictures of the stuff I have...sorry, Paul :(

But this Sega pedal looks like the one I got. Minus the part where the foot is supposed to be ;)

edit: Marco, should we make a large package to go to USA? I have the pedal assy, the coin box assy and I assume the bare controlpanel.
