Nintendo sky hawk and battle shark arrive today.
« on: January 20, 2015, 10:38:56 PM »
So finally I get to inspect my two games I brought at the begining  of 2014
I was amazed to see that I has both films sky hawk and battle shark this is incredible.
Sky hawk is even earlier than battle Shark and was a big hit in Japan on there bigger projectors in the arcade.
Both games are complete and internals are in fantastic condition.
With both film intact I can't wait to restore these games .
I am so excited  :)

Nice !

you should do something simular like Bruno did with "The Driver" Footage, to save it for the future..

Thanks for the link I never saw this.
Saving the film is my first step in the preservation of both games,I think the rust and metal work is not a problem I can get that fixed with any one who is good at spot welding.
Then i will have to paint with red oxide and find a colour match and paint them.
But inside they are immaculate So Iam hoping that they both will work.
But any help or advice with the film would be much appreciated

That would be awesome if it could be digitized !

It's amazing that those films are still intact IMHO...but could we recreate them in the future if needed ?

There is footage of this game being played in the AVRO Driester episode about arcade games. I think that is now off-line. Can't do it today but remind me to re-upload that somewhere, it's awesome anyway.

Probably said it before here but Battle Shark is one of the games I played in my first "arcade days". Together with EM and B/W videogames this was in one of the camping-site arcades in Zeeland in the late 70s.
So I think it's awesome to see some of these still being around and getting the love they need !!!!

I must say I remember that hitting a target was either crazy hard OR the machine was poorly aliged :)

Congrats and hope to see them up and one day :)

@Etienne: Please take it down (om verder misverstanden te voorkomen), it's called a private video for a reason, posting the link on a public forum doesn't make it private anymore.

@Chuckie: I'll ask the right holders if i can send you the small part about the game, please don't post this video (yet).

Thanks guys.
