FIREFOX in MAME.. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there!

First time poster in this fantastic group! 

I have tried forever to get a DAPHNE or MAME running for Firefox & Astron Belt.. I have been foiled at every attempt.. If someone out there has the patience & the courtesy to give me a quick step by step guide to running it on Vista, then I would be really thrilled.. I am so annoyed that I keep seeing it run on You Tube & despite everything I try, I cant get the damn thing working!

Astron Belt would be a bonus to play too.  I understand this is pretty easy to get running but I will leave it to your expertise to tell me how to do that too.  I am familiar with MAME for usual ROM games but it is just the whole DAPHNE/MAME lazer disk emulation, I just cant get to grips with..

I didn't try yet to make Firefox working with Mame  . I hope someone will be able to help you.

its very easy to setup mame first go hear for a frontend:-

down load the latest mame binary from www.mamedev.org

you will need the fire fox rom set plus the fire fox laserdisc dump (firefox.chd)

make a dir on your hard-drive called mame and install the mame binary in to there
browse to the mame dir and make two dirs in there called "roms" and "chds",
put the firefox romset into "roms" and the firefox.chd into "chds", make another dir on your hard-drive called "emuloader" and install emuloader here, now run emuloader and it will ask you where mame is, browse emuloader to your mame dir add the binary, when this is done select "settings" from the same requester box and setup the "folders" for "roms" and "chds", there is also some more settings that need setting up but these can be done later, once you have told emuloader where every tihng is select "ok" and it will procced to make a games list, if it still does not goto the top left and select file/creat games list/mame and it will do it and your done, happy gaming

sorry if this is long and mind numbing but mame is a real pain to setup but an absoloute joy once its working. have fun.

oh and one last important thing, please dont ask where to find the romsets and chds, thats down to you
