Bugman
« on: June 29, 2014, 11:14:57 PM »
Hi,

On my Dodgem CPO is this sticker, inserted under the CPO.
I've searched all over the net for info on a game called Bugman, I can't find one mention.
Does anyone here know anything about this game, or any link to this game and Zaccaria?
Here's a pic of the instruction card. Looks like a Pac-Man clone

This is likely a rebranded version of the game Hangly-Man, and likely had no changes to the board itself.

That could be the case, because the maze of Hangly-Man is exactly the same as the falcon one, and we all know which boardsets zaccaria used..  indeed, Falcon, so it makes sence.

So are we saying my Dodgem may have been shipped from Zaccaria as Bugman but had a Hangly Man on a falcon board inside?

Looks like I was right, then.

On another hand, it could be a Hangly-Man board inside of a Bug-Man cabinet with Lupin III and Galaxian CPs.  ;D

Some more pics from the seller , just sent via sms.

Just played it in mame, total flashback to childhood, must have played on this clone, when the map vanished when I ate the powerpill it sent tingles down my spine.

thats a different board, because the maze is the standard one, there is a difference in the maze on hangly-man AFIAK

He's right, that's just the normal maze. :?

It likely is a variant of the Hangly-Man board, but with the original mazes. I've heard of Hangly-Man boards with the original mazes, so it doesn't seem unlikely.

On Mame there appears to be 3 rom sets, although I've only got 1 and 3 downloaded, might explain a few things.
