Galaxian Theater : the sketchup model

No problem  ;)
A galaxian3 cab sketch up is really tough to do. Especially when trying to rescan everything of the galaxian3

Yeah.

OK, preliminary pics here:

Arcade machine in corner, tell me if that is somewhat proportionate to the size.

(Hard to work off of only memory, if anyone could measure the size, that could really help)

(EDIT: Just so you know, this is just in terms of scale. The full model will actually look like a G3.)

Great sketch up. Now all we need to do is to scan all the cab artwork, like that galaxian3 marquee.

OK, the next steps on the Sketchup are to add to the more complex pieces.

Sketchup v.2:

I added some more detailed elements to the model, as well as a few accuracy things.

Exterior nearly done:

New since last: I finished modeling, minus interior. I also added the lights on the outside.

Awesome sketchup. Now we just need the galaxian3 marquees and stickers that are attached to gunners.

Indeed it does. We can use the galaxian3 project dragoon logo put on UGSF series website to determine the size of the top marquee.

I actually already basically figured out the marquee doing that(not exact, but getting close)

Oh, and, by the way, thanks for making this its own post! Maybe you can help with any questions I have on the Theater 6, and the design.

OK, I worked late on this, so check out what I did on the model (from smallest to largest)

I edited the marquee, so now it looks a little more like a G3 (though the black background is still there, and I can't find a way to add a shiny texture)

I also made this, a mock-up of what I think a GT-1 would be like (not a Starblade, a 1P version of a Theater6.)
But, what's that in the distance?

Can you guess what it is? Here are some clues:

Stay tuned for more! ;D

Um...
GT-16...

I kind of thought that was a bit obvious, considering the rest of the models.

[EDIT: Cyber Dome... I had no idea what that was until you mentioned it. However, it seems like the opposite situation as G3's. I barely have any idea what the outside looks like. Also, Sega's another 3D model :)]

Galaxian player 16 player version could be difficult unless you have the mini model of the actual inferior (the 16 laserdisc room). Not to mention that we need the LD rip of galaxian3 attraction, and only one person in japan has it.

Compared to Cyber Dome, which we have no idea of gameplay whatsoever  ;)
But, seriously, at least we know someone has its video. And, if I can't get a hold of him, I can always do it from scratch with a 3D editor and a copy of the scenario.
Besides, it's just a model. Not necessarily what is going to be simulated.

P.S. What's an Ace Combat? I searched System 16 and it came up with no results. If you confused it with Air Combat, which had its series's later incarnations under the name Ace Combat on consoles, how did you confuse it with a GT-16?

"Attention UGSF (Ace) Gunners", when i saw "Ace" in that briefing screen, one thing suddenly came up in mind. xD
