What I mean is that it was a confirmed fact that Atari dumped some stuff. Not just ET cartridges and amounts are not what has been rumored. Commercially ET was a succes it sold several millions. It was not a good game, but it had to be rushed out by the fools at Atari/Warner management and there haven been much much worse games from third party developers.

I just don't like that again they are further blowing up this story that this single game was responsible for the demise of Atari and videogames as a whole in 1983. That is just nonsense.

What do 3 games prove? Could be just an average kid Atari collection.
If they had found a bunch of distribution boxes with say 20 or 30 games, it would be much more reliable. Now it feels like as HOAX as the original rumour. Nice MS PR!

i think it is a reported fact that Atari dumped some stuff there back then... including a few E.T.-cards and lot´s of other stuff.
i doubt they will find more than a few dozend games... not only E.T.´s though.
Looking for Dragons Lair 1 or 2, Space Ace, Double Dragon, Robotron and yeah... a Shinobi would be cool, too!
