i know. but it is too close to console for me... and i don't want tables. i will stick to the uprights. i have to follow a certain direction.
Looking for Dragons Lair 1 or 2, Space Ace, Double Dragon, Robotron and yeah... a Shinobi would be cool, too!

Are there a lot of Red Tents in Europe?!  ??? ???
there are a lot of "tents" with red lights, that's for sure  ;D

(the word tent is used as "joint" or "place" in Dutch....yes tent is tent in Dutch....)

As mentioned, I saw about 6 of them for sale at one spot just after starting in the hobby, didn't exactly know what they were and wasn't much interested in them then....stupid me. Pieter (Gyruss) has one of these now. They were bought by a ferry boat company (Stena line) which runs ferries between Holland and the UK but the machines were never used on the ships because they didn't have the right electrical certifications, at least this is what the seller told me.

They were in very good condition, although not like MIB.

Other than that, there are not that many here AFAIK.

the other 3(?) are supposed to be in Marokko, at least that's what the seller told me. Makes me wonder how many of our European cabs were shipped to 3rd world country's like that, maybe they still have warehouses full of them.. ;)

One of the Nozomi guys also has a (very nice) Red Tent, I think it comes from the same batch as Gyruss'

I agree, don't get me wrong I like red tents but they don't have the cool side art like the uprights and there to close to the console games .
But if I had room yes I would buy one

Yes, i was thinking about that a bit later, I too think that one is from the same batch. Isn't that Psykick's ? Sadly that one was MAMEd though....it was at the first Eurocade IIRC.

This batch I am talking about I saw at Jukeboxshop in Vlaardingen, must have been around 2006 or 2007.
The Jukeboxshop guy told me the story. Stena bought them NEW of course so...back in the 80s. Following the failing electrical certification they got stored and were never touched again until Jukeboxshop, picked them up I guess. So, I think there is no point in calling Stena....

It would be big business ;);)

I wouldn't keep one though....don't have room for one. I like them but ....uh....I never played one AFAIR.

Of course Pieter's was as RGE/Eurocade last year but I didn't have the time and it was always being played whenever I did have some time...

Yes it is, psykick directed me to the seller, and that guy told me the remaining ones went to marokko
