M.A.C.H. 3
« on: November 10, 2008, 11:48:00 AM »
Has anyone tried the game M.A.C.H. 3?
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8471

I have found it in a small warehouse, and I am wondering if it's worth picking up.

I never had the chance to play it, but it's a laser disc game and it looks very cool  8)
Which version you would be able to get ? Upright or Cockpit ?
It's not a common game here in Europe, so if I were you and if the price is nice... TAKE IT ... it must be saved  :-*

This (and Firefox) used to be my favorite laserdisc games.
There have many of the cockpit cabinets given away for free here in NY. (There were no takers so I'm sure they were destroyed).
It's not as much fun now as when it was new, but the bombing missions can still be great!
Grab it if you can, it's a nice game.

I'm saying the same thing. I can't find a Nintendo cab, like Donkey Kong or Popeye.  :(
But look on the bright side, it's not all great over there either.  :P

It's an upright, by the way. I heard from a 3rd party that the seller is kind of expensive, and I don't have the video files to test the game in Daphne. But I'll contact him and ask how much he wants for the cab. :)

I had the chance to test it in Daphne just now.
Even though it's no Dragon's Lair, it's quite nice. The graphics are amazing, as expected. I don't know how lasting the gameplay is, though..  :D
I would honestly be much happier if this were a Super Don Quixote, though!  :)

M.A.C.H. 3 was a great game, I sometimes play this in my Cobra Command cabinet. If I had the chance to own one I would.

Just my 2 cents

Steve

Its very easy to cheat on this particular laserdisc machine, people would just kick the cab and it would skip half the game, giving you the points for it too :)

Im glad it finally works in daphne :)

Believe me, ..... It is Totally a matter of being in the right place at the right time... I've yet to be "given" any cab.  I've looked & looked & looked, only to be crushed with big dollar signs!   Again, there is totally no shortage of classic games here, but you gotta have a fat wallet to get them.   :-\  :-[     But I won't give up, and I'll keep trying to save for my next games & projects!!!  :D  ;D  :pac:  :ghost:  :spaceace:   I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Joy!!!!

Correct.

My Cobra Command cab cost me $100 for the cab (and wiring, just no monitor and LD gear) I've been waiting for YEARS to own this game. But if you search you'll find it (just might take some time)

I used to play the cockpit version as a kid. Loved the whole experience with the real flight video and the pilots' radio conversations coming out of the speakers.
Of course it looks downright cheesy now but I'd still like one :)
