Well.... I can say I spent "quite a bit" because this is what I love, but I always avoid talking about the money aspect of it due to it causing problems..
I have a few "friends" who don't speak to me much anymore because of the way I indulge in my hobby... They keep forgetting that I don't have kids, and they have several. While they are out buying strollers and diapers and all of the other never ending expenses, I'm buying the latest video game systems and Sonic stuff, and I'm fine with that and my life.. (mini backstory on me, I've had cancer back in 1998, and the treatment and after effects messed me up for good)
Even when I did that interview on X Play...They asked how much is all of this worth/cost?, I really didn't want to talk about it, but they kept on insisting how much I spent, so I just guessed with an "off the wall" amount, which would include everything including the building.. and (without asking me) they put it on the air... and of course people made negative comments I had to remove from YouTube.
Sometimes I get asked... Wow, that (collectible I have) is worth that much? Why don't you sell it? Because I'm not in this to make money. If I was like that, I'd sell it all and sit on it in the bank like Scrooge McDuck. LOL
So... I guess this really does not answer the question, but it does highlight why it's taboo to bring up money, just like politics and religion...
