nice repro you have there, but if i were you i'd remove that semi-transparent dust disk from the control panel IMMEDIATELY, it will scratch your overlay up in no time.

as for the stickers: i'd get them from thisoldgame because imho the quality there is better and they don't have insane shipping prices like mike does! PLUS they also have the stickers for popeye (in two different colors to choose from)!

on a side note, nintendo cabs seem to be the most-reproduced cabs out there ...
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Thank you for pointing me to this site ! Also, nintendo cabs of this era are also the best looking cabs I think. This would explain
why they are so reproduced.

Nice that you used an original pcb.
Any photo's of how you wired everything up on the inside?
Did you use a supergun or made all the wiring yourself?
Very curious.

It is a bit of mess inside right now  ;D I have to take some time to make things clean.
Basically, I used a converter board that connects to the edge connector of the board.

It is used to convert the board to jamma (which means sound amplification, and rgb
inversion).

Then I made the wiring from scratch, not using a supergun. There is a standard arcade psu.
Also I made myself a RGS to SCART adapter so I can connect directly to the tv.

For controls, I used the fact that the control panel plugs directly onto the game board
(there is a connector for it). I wired the coin switch to the service switch so it is easier
to add credits to play. Also because there is no free play for this game. I tried the free play
mod roms floating around on the net for this game, but couldn't make them work.

I also added an adapter board which allows connecting the control panel to the jamma connector,
so I can also plug other vertical games and play them.

I always wonder how much such a repro would cost and if it wouldn't be cheaper to buy an original cabinet.

Yes, it would have been cheaper to buy an original cabinet if I had lived in the USA.
But when you live overseas, I can assure you that building this kind of reproduction
is FAR cheaper than buying an original...

I understand, but didn't you still have to buy parts from oversea?

Yes and that was expensive, but not as much as buying the whole cabinet and send it here.
