The Computerspiele Museum on the Karl Marx Allee perhaps?

According to the pictures, they apparently have an original Pong and a green 2 player Computer Space, so that alone might make it worth visiting :)

(I went to Berlin last May, but I only found out about this place after I came back. Damn shame really  :-\)
No arcade cab(s) yet, but happy owner of 2 Colecovisions, 2 Amigas and a pc running Mame.

Oh well, fair enough. Consider my answer as a waste of pixels then   ;)

Visiting = paying = supporting classic cabs to be converted to LCD/MAME set-ups...

And what else do you find there ? Classic consoles and computers put behind glass, so not working/playable.
The worst thing is this place probably gets subsidized to keep converting cabs to LCD/MAME........

I noticed on their site that Ralph Baer is "Schirmherr" of the museum.....maybe knowing the Pong is a converted machine this is his revenge at Atari/Nolan Bushnel ?  ;D

I also noticed this page about the museum in the press:

http://www.computerspielemuseum.de/1271_Pressestimmen.htm

Ein Museum, das in seinem Themenfeld weltweit kaum Konkurrenz haben dürfte

Translated: A museum that in it's theme probably has no competitor
What a joke. The average member here has more videogame history in his game room. Let alone all the collectors in the US, and especially not to mention places like the Danish Spilmuseet (http://www.playright.dk/museum/) and the American Classic Arcade Museum (http://www.classicarcademuseum.org (a.k.a. Funspot)) but I bet there are more....

But this probably says it all:

Will kein Fantempel sein, sondern Verständnis schaffen für das Kulturgut Computerspiel

Translated: "Doesn't want to be a fan-temple but create understanding of the culture/heritage of computer games"

Hah, that must have been in response to the criticism they received from people like us....

I am still trying to imagine a classic car museum where they rip out the original engine of the cars "because a new engine is much more reliable"......

Again: I totally support the idea of a museum about classic video/computer games, in fact this may be my ultimate dream to create one day, but this place is sadly missing it's goal.

...or visit "For Amusement Only e.V." in Rodenbach. Here's a nice overview of the place. The arcade machines shown on video are mentioned in the video description (with time codes). Pay an entrance fee of 8 Euro and play as long as you want (on real arcade machines) - that's much better than the Computerspiele Museum.
