It's the first of may 2008... Day off
The target today is a dedicated TIME PILOT cab... by Atari Ireland... very hard to find
Ready for departure :
This time, it won't go to UK... but just to France... approx 350 to drive...
It's very early... but as usual... hey... it's a roadtrip day isn't it ?
For my stat :
Let's go... on the road again... again
At the border... ready to stole arcade heritage from an other country...
...no remorse... no regret
After approx 2h30 of driving... a touch & go for a quick breakfast...
I'm arriving at Paris...
... and here I am. The cabinet is in a very good condition
There is no more the Time Pilot pcb inside... it's now playing Arkanoid, and so... no more joystick but a spinner :roll:But the rest seems fine
OK, time to go now... the official picture
Hey... at this point, I got a phone call from a collector/friend, living at 50 minutes from here : Misteriddler (see his french ArcadeBlog right
here ... so it's time for a improvised visit
Yeahh... that's what I call : "Arcalde Life Style"
...and here's the man
A die hard - extreme Arcade Lover... injured by pinballs and other arcade roadtrips
But I'm happy to see him... and now he is in good spirits
He has a fully working Star Wars Arcade... yeah...
We went more than one years in UK to get that game. here's an old picture of us, on the game, when it was not running just at the end of the roadtrip
(Oppss... I didn't related this UK roadtrip on the website
I'll do it soon
)
It was really great to meet him again, but it's time for me to go back to Belgium
...driving in Paris...
What a day my friends
An Atari Time Pilot in the car, and an arcade meeting with a friend
Arriving at my place...
...755km on the road today
I'm alone to unload to cab... but for this one, it won't be a problem :
No more free space in the Nuno's Lair... no more free place in my workshop at the first floor... so this one will be fixed here, in the corridor
Stay Tuned for a new 'Da Renovation' story
