Valuation for Final Lap 3
« on: April 16, 2012, 08:58:52 AM »
Hi!

A friend of mine is thinking of selling his Final Lap 3 upright.

The cabinet is in good condition, and as a curiosity, it has been signed by the F1 racer Heikki Kovalainen. He also has a newspaper clipping of the signing event as proof of authenticity.

What kind of money do you think he could get for this?

Thanks!

Well, final lap 3 is not really a 'sought after' game, but the upright model is not as common as the sit down version.
Depending the general condition of the cabinet, you can expect something between 250-350€, more if you are lucky! Not sure the Kovalainen signature will really help to get more money, except for a true fan of him.
Few pictures would help the estimation of course, but once again... there's no real market value for such games.

Yeah, this is how it seems to be. Not "classic enough" to be sought after and Kovalainen isn't really a hot shot driver either. :-D

I told him before that he might get around 500e max if it went to someone who values the signature, but he reckoned he wanted more than that.

Thanks for your input!
