Was driving past Oosterhout a couple days back and had a discussion in the car if the factories of the "Jamin" candy shops were (are) there .... I seem to remember so .....

Yes, it was first in rotterdam, then they moved to oosterhout:

They used to have great ice cream too but seems now they only have the usual brand stuff.

About the Kaneelstok: you cannot translate this directly to cinnamon stick. A cinnamon stick is the way cinnamon is often sold and is purely the cinnamon itself. My wife uses these when she makes " stoofpeertjes" to give them a nice extra taste.
A Kaneelstok is made of cinnamon but also sugar to sweeten it and some stuff to make it a eatable stick I guess....

The thicker the stick....the better

On the Jamin site you can only order small ones in a box but the taste is the same...
