He was on the radio couple of days ago, he is champion of Holland, third in Europe and 6th in the world so there are e en faster guys. He did explain that he is following certain "fixed" steps to solve it. He explained that the turning takes the most time and that is what he needs to train for. It looks to me like he already knows how to solve it after having looked at it in the "preview". Do find it strange that this time is not inclided because that is part of solving it.

I never finished one without dissassemblong and I wasnt too bothered about it because I generally dont like puzzling. This is amazing though.

Notice the codes in the comments of that video, thats obviously how to solve that certain set-up of the cube....

That is freakish!

I did manage to solve it back in the day, with help from the book "How to solve the rubiks cube" lol.

me too, you only have to learn a few moves to be able to do it, so simple when you know how to do it
just keeping an eye on things

I brought one during our latest summer vacations, we had terrible weather so the four of us had plenty of time to try to solve it.
Nobody succeded! I could finish 2 sides and then it was total chaos.
Later I met a Rubik's cube collector in UK (also very fast when he solves it) and he told me that it's quite hard to find out by yourself how to solve it.
Some version of this cube are highly collectible apparently.
A few weeks ago I found this on a flea market, that's a sign!
