Iīm very happy to had made a nice catch. I had found this cab already in 2010, but not planning a road trip at this time. I donīt know exactly why, but in this summer i had thinking about it and contact the seller. and yes, it was still available, and for a good price.  arrow DEAL!

so what i am talking about?
itīs a Atari Xybots, located in the Netherland, very close to the german border.
I like that cab very much, because of itīs very special design. and the game, mmmh, no idea at this point, because i had never play this in arcade...

so here are the route:

Superb condition too!
What's the story behind the cab, do you know why or where the seller got it from?
I always love the background stories  Wink

I donīt know exactly why, but in this summer i had thinking about it and contact the seller...

I know exactly why! it happens to all of us... a terrible disease...owning as much as possible 'games from the past'! You know it's not the right time... you know you don't have free space ... you even don't really played that game... but you must take the opportunity to own it!

Well Done TimePilot!  Smiley

thanks for nice comments guys and bruno for the nice banner. Space Ace

as i written, i like xybots very much. it was one of the first 3-D shooters ever made. the gameplay is nice, you can play with 2 players at the same time. but very special is the joystick, he has a nice feature. up and down, left and right, like ever. but you can rotate the knob and with this rotation you are able to change perspectives on the fly.

the story behind this buy is not spectacular. this seller has a business for trading with coinop machines and more. i donīt know him personally, because his firm are not my destination, it was his home and he was not there. his wife was so nice and had gave me the xybots... a business sticker on bezel cardboard had shows me that this cab came from belgium. no more infos about it.

@Ully: GO FOR IT!!! You will not be disappointed. pacman

Tried this game out in mame today, it is a great one, a lot of sound effects are similar with Vindicators.

I bet the sellers' name is Hans Smiley

Yeah, Dutch history. The fastest car on the face of the earth.......that is ....... in reverse Cheesy  Long live the variomatic Smiley I prefer the real Daf's though, not the one's with the Volvo brand...

I never played Xybots well enough to judge the game.

There's also still one in the business where I found the Zaccaria cockpit.

the cab is overall in good original condition. the coin door mech is missing (runs on free play) and it has some drilled holes in the wooden front. I'll fix these things, and then itīs playing time. I will never sell this cab, because iīm very happy with it...  Kiss
