Sidam Space Ace
« on: November 08, 2007, 04:26:14 AM »
Hi guys

This is my new toy, a Sidam Space Ace.
I got it in good condition, just without ldp and disc....
I have a disc and a couple of Philips player, unfortunatly none of the ldp i have is working and after I spend aroud 24 hours (in 4 days.....) i give up (for now....      MALEDETTI  PHILIPS)  and installed a Sony ldp 3600D and a pc motherboard inside the cab, to drive it.
The result is a fully working game.
I have a spare board with DL romset, so just a board and disc swap and I can play the other game.
Later I'll burn a combo romset and install a switch to select the game near the  ldp so I will just need to open the ldp door, flip a switch and swap the disc to do the trick.

Some random pics....

It was find in Novara (If i remember well) 2 years ago with one (Sidam) Dragon's Lair and one more (Sidam) Space Ace ;)

I'm quite sure it was not the cab you have played in the past... :)

I still need to repair the Philips Ldp, but other thing was around my house this week.... see my new post  :P

See ya

Hi Bruno,
the video works. It does not work on some PCs for some unknown reason.
Try upgrading your flash web player to the latest version.

What is a sidam style? On this side of the pond, I would call that a cabaret. Same thing, or something different?
