I meant that in the most respectful way possible my friend....I actually like women with a brain.

As you may have noticed the Power Supply PCB was not installed yet and this of course was for a reason...

I hadn't fixed it completely. (Remember I had the test set-up running with a switcher for the +5V). So I fixed the PSU and replaced the connector pins.

Here's a nice comparison of the new and the old pins, I will leave it to you guys to guess which is which  ;D ;D ;D

Anyway, this proves that this is really something you should look into.

Oh and of course I tested the Power PCB and it works great !!!

However...the horror stories about this board are true......it's not a power supply, it's an electrical heater.

Now I know Gottlieb was located in Chicago, and I know winters can be crazy there but.....this is pretty insane....I haven't come across a PSU board that heats up so much as this one.....and I think I am not going to live with it.

I have ordered several parts to see if I can improve this situation, see the earlier posts about this on this thread...more about that later though.

Anyway, I ended up with a blind-playing Q*bert and attract sounds were happy and the knocker fired at start up.

arquee was also nicely bright....to be honest......it is very bright.....and the reason for this became apparent to me right away:
The regular Q*bert marquee has the yellow Q*bert letters......this one has the text balloon with the swearing and this is completely white inside.

I already know this is going to annoy me....I really like the low profile of the Q*bert cab, but this also means that the light is shining directly in your eyes....OK we'll worry about that later.

Don't worry, I'm OK to trade you my regular marquee for your swearing marquee...  ::)

Really? Yes, it's in good condition but used of course.
If you're not in any hurry, I can bring it to eurocade and you decide there.
But we will probably see each other before that  ;)
I'd rather avoid sending it by mail since we're not too far away.

Argh!!! I'd be raving mad in your place.
Could that be a fabrication issue?
Dreaming of a Namco Galaxian waiting in a barn for me... somewhere! A Nintendo Sheriff would also make me happy. And a SNK Sasuke Vs Commanders or a SEGA Samurai... Argh too many; in fact!
