Let me guess.... It's no Bowlatronic. Nor a Coleco Zaxxon....

No, it's a real classic, but I couldn't tell more until Eurocade. ;)

More real classic than those 2.....

The top 25 op classiness in no particular order is roughly:
Bambino - Race'N'Chase
Bambino - UFO Master Blaster Station
Bandai - Airport Panic *
Bandai - FL Burger Time
Bandai - Gun Professional
Coleco - Bowlatronic
Entex - Space Invader 2
Entex - Super Cobra
Epoch - Astro Thunder 7
Gakken - Runaway *
Gakken - Dig Dug
Gakken - Frogger
Gakken - Puck Monster
Mattel - Auto Race *
Mattel - Gravity
Nintendo - Ball *
Nintendo - Donkey Kong JR *
Nintendo - Donkey Kong *
Onko - Super Space Jack
Parker Brothers - Q*Bert
Tomy - 3D Stereo Skyfighters
Tomy - Mr. DO *
Tomy - Pac Man
Tomy - Slimline Speedway *
Rosy - Space Galaxy

The ones with a star fit in that envelope.... So we are down to 8 options  ;D

If it is from the states, then it only can be
Auto Race
Ball
Mr. DO
Slimline Speedway

as for the other 4 it is totally nuts to get them from the USA.

Mr. DO and Ball can be scrapped from the list too.
6.94$ basic shipping would be too risky for these 2.

I guess it is the classic of all that is classic: Auto Race, the first ever!
It makes total sense as it can be found for 10-20$ in the USA and fits in an envelope. Sorry to spoil the fun

You are very far. :D
As you are a pro handheld collector, you have different thoughts about "classics", it is "just" a handheld version of a classic arcade game. ;)

Oops, then it''s getting a hard one....

It must be LCD, it wasn''t the Mr. DO, so I think we must limit to the really tiny ones.

Options that are arcade classics in handheld:

Bandai - Zaxxon, but this one is easy to get in Europe, great game.
Bandai - Burgertime (LCD), was not sold in the US, so would be weird.
Mattel - Burgertime: essentially the same game, but then the US version. I have it: very cool
Bandai - Pengo: only a half-baked arcade conversion. The VFD Pengo is real Pengo, the LCD one is a fun game based on Pengo. Not classic enough.
Halion - Q*Bert: classic game, but very unknown and not so classic company, even though it shares the common Bandai handheld with ministick shape.
Bandai - Frisky Tom: nice classic conversion, but not very classic in the sense that it is well known as classic....
One of countless Pac-Man versions
One of many Super Cobra versions: not likely, they were common in the EU

Best guess: Mattel Burger Time

Close to perfection. ;D
I received the package in perfect condition, but I had to test it with a battery, so I had to open it like that! ;D

Béla brought his entire collection (I think)!!!!! Sadly we didn't really find a good spot for it. At one moment I asked to play DK and he showed ALL of them....I played for a minute or two and then.....I had to do some duties as organizer of Eurocade again   ;D
Totally not complaining because I managed to play a good number of games on the big machines and I even played Béla's C64 !
