I can even trade in a JD pinball ! :)

DAMN it looks great !

Don't see any EL wire lighting or black light though ?? Maybe that will only be on the Limited Edition ?

There are also lots of ramps and a 3d flipper...and some other toys we haven't seen for a while.....I really like the looks too. This could be a winner....

Well the dollar is VERY weak at the moment (no wonder with the US government debts), almost 1,50 to the Euro. I hope they keep it up so I have a rate of about 1,60 when I go over there Woo-hoo !

A promotional newsletter from Stern reads as follows:

Our TRON pinball puts the players in the middle of TRON movie and video game action battles. This is a fast moving game. TRON has 3 flippers, including an upper flipper to shot one of the two fabulous fast action ramps. We have not utilized a 3rd flipper in a while, and players will enjoy it. In the center of the playfield, near the top, there is a motorized 3 bank target assembly the player must hit and lower, to gain access to the illuminated, motorized spinning disc, representing TRON's Identity Disc. The spinning disc shoots the ball randomly across and around the playfield. Ramp shots take the player to an exciting Light Cycle multiball. The player shoots at the miniature TRON video game to start exciting features and collect big points.

I was thinking: back in the days of Tron (1) we probably thought pinball was on it's last legs, surely to be completely overtaken by videogames. Who could have guessed that in 2011 there still would be a Pinball Tron game, and ZERO Tron Video Arcade games.....

In one way it makes me very sad, in another I'm still pretty happy ;)

I guess it's a bit like this:

Normal version goes to the operators, LE goes to the home-users/collectors....

Seeing this I'm pretty sure it's going to be a pretty expensive machine...

but ::) so that means a  droptarget bank is 1000$ worth nowadays ?
