Coin Insert Buttons Labels (or whatever those are called)
« on: March 12, 2011, 01:54:40 PM »

one of my next projects is to convert all my games which can't be set on freeplay to accept tokens. to make this project perfect, i want to exchange the labels of the coin insert buttons which normally display the currency to be used

i'm pretty sure that there are ready-to-print labels out there already, BUT i have no idea what the exact term of those labels is - which makes looking for them quite difficult. i need labels saying "1 token" and "freeplay" (with the "push to reject" text underneath). so, if anyone has a lead, please let me know ... :-*
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

I've got Atari one's with 1 Guilder on it. Got JPG but even better EPS file too.

Find it here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=75835.0

To print these .......just print them on a regular printing paper on your ink-jet. It's really amazing, but it looks GREAT.

Yes sir, the stuff that is already loaded in your printer. Works fine. It totally amazed me, I just printed it to test it, but it looked so good I decided to keep them like that !

Left the original, right the repro (better than original IMHO !)

The "official" name is Coin Reject Button Insert Labels:

hello mr vector king :spaceace:

well, as i've said: i need two different inserts: one saying "TOKEN" (or would you say "1 TOKEN"?) and one saying "FREEPLAY" (perhaps we should divide that word into FREE and PLAY (with a dash?) not sure what looks better). And at the bottom "PUSH TO REJECT" (as you can see on the original inserts). AndrĂ© posted a link to his ESP file, perhaps you could use that. I just measured one my my  inserts, dimensions are 3.0 x 1.6 centimeters!
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Etienne, you amaze me everytime! ;D

me to, BUT ... 8)

get rid off that atari logo, because i want to use the inserts on all of my machines, not just atari PLUS i prefer the version which just says token (over 1 token) and the freeplay version without the dash. additionally, can you capitalize all the letters in FREEPLAY and make both the token and the freeplay size bigger? this text has to be larger than the push to reject text ...

if you send me the file, i can experiment a little bit myself - my skills are limited, but changing the font size should be doable ;)

one more thing regarding the logo (which just came to my mind): what do you think of putting each manufacturer's logo in there, like williams, sega, atari etc.?
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Great idea about the manufacturer logos, it gives a "finish" to it IMHO

I can sen you the file, sure, or you tell me what labels you need.

You call the shots here remember  ;)

EDIT:

Text adjusted as requested, and you got email  ;)
