No, the one that Robin has is unique.

.....Even mine that has serial nr. 815 has the "regular" side-art so they changed it very fast.

The one that Robin has is indeedd unique, and original of course, but yours and others are also original because this was the way that they were done later in production phase.

No, the one that Robin has is unique. This is the version as it pictured on the flyer:

Robin's serial nr. is 176 so a VERY early one (30000 made). Even mine that has serial nr. 815 has the "regular" side-art so they changed it very fast.

The main difference is the blue being also in the lower part of the Galaxian name and the dot on the i is NOT green.
I'm pretty sure they changed it because the name kind off "falls away" due to the blue background. The white in the name makes it more clearly visible.

I've never seen another Galaxian cab like Robin's.

mine is number : 0361 so very very fast.

Hi are you from Europe ?

I noticed that "all" the low serial numbers have ended up in Europe which I find rather strange...You'd expect a US company like Midway to first take care of their home markets...

(by the way welcome here, did you already "introduce" yourself ?)

Hello, not yet introduce  :?

thank you

Yes in France, I found it a few years ago just near Paris (beginning of 2005 like my registered date on this forum in fact  :P )

Black leather T-molding on my cab before restoration like the flyer.

I would also like to know where you guys see the two different shades of green because I am VERY sure there is only one.

Just going off this photo, look at the bottom "grassy area", there appears to be spots of a lighter green. Perhaps it is touch-up paint? That would explain the same lighter green in the bug's eye and its odd shape.

Damn, I love the Galaxian site art! Diffidently a must have, especially robin's one!
But new site art just seems a bit too clean and white, it somehow losses a little bit of magic for me

Do you mean the feeling of owing a classic cab which has had quite a life in arcades? Then I totally agree with you. I always feel that classic cabs are allowed to have, or should have, usage marks to some extend, that makes them the more real and interesting, for me anyway. So a scratch here and there, or a little bruise is allowed.

What I don't 'like' about this particular Galaxian repro art is that it is smooth instead of structured. I understand why, but still. It's like having a Pac-man cab with side art decals instead of stencils. Nevertheless, I might order the kickplate artwork, don't know yet.

Well, I bet they _were_ white and clean when they were new too  :) Isn't that what restoring is about ?
But don't get me wrong, I don't mind a scratch here and there just like you guys. That's why I wouldn't replace my Galaxian side-art. But I hate the damaged lower part of my kickplate. I want to restore it with bondo and this is the best compromise available....

So Wunder, where do you see the two shades of green, I want to know ;D

+1!
I also "collect" robot toys and I like it when they have some battle scars...
I don't want to keep my toys/arcades boxed and mint and never open them like this guy from toy story ;)
Where would be the fun in that?

Hey guys just found this.
the reason why my orginal looks so funky is someone had done ALOT of bad touchup work on it
so the eye is all bugged out and lots of small touchups in the green down below
orginally there is only 1 green color/shade silkscreened.

and unfortunatly there just wasnt enough to justify a silkscreen repro on this
that and the lack of the textured/structured vinyl.

and just added a new run of the cpos to the site ;D

Ahhhh, the Galaxian CPO's, hah, that's where my first steps in restorations started.... :D

I'm proud to have some "work" in those ;)

Hope to get the Kickplate and Puckman CPO's soon ;) ;)
