go back on work

Well I still have the sound problem (no sound at all)  :?

According klov.com regarding this game :

Ok, well le'ts have a look at these caps' :

I'm buying new ones, same values of course :

Opps, I don't have unsolder tool close to me yet  :?  , so I quicky replace them just to check if it will fix the sound problem...

...It doesn't

Ok, so I presume the main amp chip is dead ? Let's order a new one. Here it is :

It's not an easy one to fix on pcb, so I'm asking my brother to do the job, and clean my previous job on caps

Done ! Looks better isn't it

YEEESS, the sound is back !!!  :P  :P  :P

I clean the marquee :

Cool, there are pins with 220V where I can plug the new TV

One small bug left : some bad pixels on title screen and on the score, :

...but it's not a problem at all  :)

Now, the Rolling Thunder slide show ... in action  :P

 :P  :P  :P

Thanks for the link Fred  :P  I plan to get a Rolling Thunder II and a Jamma swith, in order to play both version inside the cab.

Igor, the repair of the original in now in my 'to-do' list, but not in my 'must-do' list      Because I have now on that cab a brand new TV, setup like a true arcade monitor 8)

:D him this I see
I prefer to mend the original monitor if this is good conditions of use

I always look for old monitor to mend those that I have

this because I try to preserve the more possible the originality of the game
but this is one opinion of mine  :D
in every case ....... congratulations for this restauration  :!:  :!:

pretty good idea
despite the fact rolling thunder 2 isn't really interesting compared to the first episode. Colours are much brighter but the evil guys look awfull
