Most of them don't actually. A friend works helping victims of child abuse and she says there's nearly as much damage from other people's flawed preconceptions about the victims than the initial trauma.

could be, I don't know. As long as they are treated by psychologists maybe they can get better in a certain way and learn to cope with a trauma like that
