Amazing, brilliant.....we need one in Europe !!!!!! And it should go around between collectors to enjoy a month or so and then move on.....
i know two guys with a video pinball in europe: you andré and the german collector punkrockcaveman. so let's bounce this back between holland and germany
I actually meant that we need to MAKE one like this ! This is NOT a conversion, it's a completely newly build thing (OK except for the Control Panel). (By the way, I thought Laschek has one as well ?)
Scr33n could do the cab I'm sure !

@jcp: How come you think this was a Tron ? Have you actually read the links I posted ?
I'll summarize it:
- Rich from ThisOldGames.com created this cabinet NEW. The only original part used was a Control Panel from Ebay. All the other stuff is NEW. The artwork was created NEW by Rich.
Xray2 (of KLOV forum) has created a NEW playfield (in memory) and adapted/hacked the original Video Pinball game to make it play this V2.0 of Video Pinball. He also added a MP3 player board that plays back sounds from the movie instead of the dull beeps and chirps from the original Video Pinball.
Of course it is nothing like a real pinball machine, but Video Pinball, despite of it's age, is considered to be one of the best pinball emulations.
The ball movement is very like original, and this with the very limited processing power of the time.
The whole set-up of the cab, with the "fake" playfield that is projected through the half-mirror ,combined with the B/W graphics, the funky 70's disco theme and the black-light makes this a unique cab. Add to that the original controls (plunger, side-buttons, you can even nudge the Control Panel to "move" the machine.....and you have a great machine to own and restore......
