VINDICATORS joining the gameroom
« on: November 07, 2006, 08:15:50 AM »
yep, that right... after some work and patience ...

it start last week, when i was looking on local listing on ebay ...
i spot a VINDICATORS starting bid $1 only...auction for 7 days...

i was like ok we see.... then 2 days before the end, it was still at $1
i started to think a bit, and coz i'm not familiar with the game i played couple of round on MAME..

i loved it   :D

i was watching the auction on the last day, and saw that it was only for pick-up, so i was very confident...

a guy started to did on it 5 minutes before the end, but i fight back and win it for ....

ready ???

$76

wowwwwwwwww that is not bad at all   8)

i rented a truc, and went there "35 minutes from where i live"

then went back to my place, and started the hard work ....

once i made it safe, first thing i did was to put back the panel , and fire that beautie on ....

i also found insid, protected in a plastic bag the owner manual, in a perfect condition  :D

for some reason one button doesnt work, so i turn on the "pcb test" and start to work on it...

ok, back on and :

wowwwwwwwwwwwwww the picture on the monitor is cristal crisp
that a good news :)

so i play a couple of time, it is not really easy, you pilot a tank, 2 buttons  to fire, one button on top to turn the cannon  :?

but the game is very FUN ...

The cab is in a good condition, some scratches of course, i'm missing the 2 side art.
the cab look like a tank, really well design, and very heavy too ...

the pcb is in the back...

and the audio and test self just behind the coin door...

just one bad news    one cab in mean one cab out...

time to say bye bye to 1000 mile rally ....

well after all it is not a bad loss compare to what i got  :D

thanks nuno...

if you use mame , you need to configure with 2 sticks
that will be the tank controllers...

it use 3 buttons, one for fire
1 for special for bombs, can use it only when you buy some after first level
3rd for rotating the canon, like the previous one, you need to buy that option after level one ....

 :D

Yop,

I've just tried your game on mame :  VindicatorS  :o

Like most of Atari games, I love the 'insert coins' sound -same than Marble Madness or Road Blaster

The game is very fun... I reach the level 3 in my first part... but didn't notice  the third button  :?  I mean I can only fire or use a special weapon which I wasn't able to use  :?

OK, reading your last post, I've to buy special weapon, ok  :)

I'll definitively give a try next time I'll play on my mame cab... It's added to my' game to try in deep' list

Netx time, I'll try it with a friend, and listen "Master Of Puppets" or "Battery" while playing it  :P
