I had the same idea (I've done a similar thing for my Galaga cab [Galaga/Galaga88] or Nintendo cab' [DK/DK jr/DK3 /RadarScore/Crazy Kong], but for Q*Bert, I knew I'll only play the common original version, so I didn't use a menu and only boot to THE game  ;)
