but the seller is a total asshole ! He agreed on my suggested price (per e-mail) on dec 31, this morning I e-mailed him about picking it up TONIGHT and he simply replies he already sold it. Probably for a higher price of course.

What an asshole seller ! :(

He just e-mailed me back that he hadn't heard from me.....no? hey, it's 31 dec when I mail him and I reply 2nd of jan. Not that uncommon through holidays I'd say....and he also mentioned that a certain "Robin from Ridderkerk" had made a deal for a crate of beer... ;D ;D ;D

I am flabbergasted. Not because of you getting it Robin...not at all !!!

But I offered him 20 Euro's for it !! And it's untested !

Question about Marktplaats:
Is it common the marktplaats sellers do not respond to people outside of Holland or who do not speak dutch?

I literally ran after a guy who was selling a rare pinball machine, tried to phone (obviously saw I was from abroad), mailed several times, made offers, quite a lot higher than what was stated online, then used google translate to write in dutch, and never got a reply, and about 10 days later the flipper was offline.  :(

Usual behavior or exceptional assh***?
