yes I did receive them, but also no outside pictures, it would be better if I dropped by and took a look in person, he told me. so I might just do that. it's supposed to be fully restored in original condition and I already spot a switcher, so big chances the side art and marque are damaged.

Check the info of the pictures if you can see what date they were made...

and indeed, where are the outside pics and WHY didn't he post those on marktplaats ?

Pictures were made on the 14th so that seems ok. I am also surpised by the fact that there are no outside pictures although he did send this one too (couldn't post it earlier coz of size). And yes, why not post that on Marktplaats? Why use photos from a different site?
@gyruss: what is a switcher?

Oke it seems to me he was just to lazy to take pics of the actual cabinet and just ripped them of a google search. So i think it isnt a fake add but just somebody who dident have a picture of the cabinet yet when putting it on MP

A switching power supply is the black box you see in the pic's, it replaced the original power supply.

I'm sure lot's of guys here can explain you the difference, i just know it isn't the original one.

So i visited the owner of the Pengo yesterday. The cab is definitely real and looks great. He told me he bought NOS side art and a cpo 10 years ago, and fully restored the cabinet. I made him a serious offer but i still think €600,- is way to much, so if you're really willing to pay that amount of money, the cab will be yours.

I've learned one thing when selling on Marktplaats: Good pics is half the selling.....

If those pics would have been on the ad, I wouldnt have doubted it.

VERY nice cab and VERY rare....but I would not pay 600 for Pengo. Nice game but not my favorite.

Indeed, 600 is too much imo, but i love theme/ art and music so i hope he'll accept my offer.

About the music: this cab doesn't play the popcorn song, it's a later version.

I seem to be in the minority of people who prefer that version over the "popcorn" version  ;D

That is soooooo cute looking!!!! - and 600€ is a steep price BUT, what would the price be if you should import it yourself or buy it from Pauls50s??

If i was in DK or had my new gameroom, i would have bought without hesitation....

600€ is not a small amount for sure, but for someone who really want that imported game, is not exagerated at all... Remember the Nintento bulk buy price.

I agree that it's actually a pretty OK price because it's also 100% working and restored. You have to calculate the restoration costs into it (not to mention the work, but I find that fun, so I never do "calculate" that.)

What's that about the Popcorn music ? I didn't know there are different versions ?

The problem I have with the arcade version of Pengo is that it's so much harder then the A8 version that I'm used to (another brilliant port by the way ;)).

Here it is, and that's the music I'm used to.  Definitely not the PopCorn version...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCLXl1NSEP8

Popcorn is an actual music piece from the 60s so both games stole it....

Now, I'd like to see Pengo arcade version with the NON popcorn music. I thin Luigi 's pengo has that version IIIRC ? All YouTube videos from the arcade version has Popcorn.
