:D  well, it look like that i'm going to finally own one of the best game ever... ASTEROIDS  :shock:

i top the game on ebay for $30... realax guys it is not in working order  :lol:

that will probably one of my biggest project ever  8)

i will be back with the VECTOR monitor this time black and whyte  :roll:

playing asteroids on one of this monitors is something UNIQUE !!!

It's coming from N.Y and should take a good 7 to 10 days. from the pictures from the seller, i can see that the pcb and power audio board are missing. the monitor and the rest is still there.
i did some research and it should take me a while before i run that baby once again... :roll:

WOoowww terrific  :shock:  An original Atari's Asteroids  :o

Once again, you will have to work on... vector monitor ( with your Tempest )  :roll:  I hope the one in that cab is still working...

By the way, I've found something interresting in one of my Star Tech journal. Maybe it can help :



SO now you've to found a pcb, and audio power supply. Do this last is the same than a Xevious by exemple (Audio Regulator Power Supply ) ? If yes, it should not be a problem to found a working one... but for the PCB mmhhh  :?

i dont know if any of you ever play asteroids on a real xy monitor ?
i did it one time and wowwwwwwwww that was great.
nothing compare to M.A.M.E

ok, so after checking the pictures and talking to the seller, this is what i need.

asteroid pcb
audio board
the monitor look like missing the hight voltage board  :?
and change the BIG blue capacitor....

but !!!!  :D

today i win this audio board on ebay for $12 ... i will probably change all the capacitor to give him a boost  8)



and i was also lucky to win that asteroids board for $70 , the seller doesnt know if it is working, so i've a 50/50 BUT the good news is, the pcb doesnt have corosion, and doesnt miss anything ...

i found somebody who repair this board for cheap...  :wink:



and that the best part, i found a guy, who is selling the monitor complete from his non working cocktail table for $50  8)
same thing as the pcb, if it doent work it will go to repair ....

i should get all that stuff next week .....[/img]

just got my cocktail today   8)

it look great, the monitor is missing the high voltage, so no way to really know if it is working properly  :twisted:

just to see i plug the pcb and audio boar that i got from ebay, and the tube glow   :!:
that a start so far ....

i've a lot of  work to do ...
