:: M.A.C.H.3 - The Road Trip ::
« on: January 15, 2010, 10:33:30 PM »

Sunday 20th of September 2009 ... the Nuno's car is ready for a new adventure  8)

This road trip' won't bring us too far... less than 200km ...sometime it's good   ;) So it's not very early : 8h19 am ... No stress ... I'm easy... easy like a Sunday morninnnnng (Faith No More powâââ  :P) :

Usual Dr Pepper... but ... why Pop-Corn ? Well, yesterday evening, we went to the Theater for watching the latest Tarantino : "Inglorious Bastards"  :P

Ok, before to go ... for my stats  ;)

At the Luxembourg border ... very close to my home  :P

...where the fuel is not so expensive than other European country ...

Luxembourg is a very small country... we are already at the French border

In France, beware of these automatic radars   ... well, I use to respect the speed limit, but sometime, it is easy to exceed the speedlimit without realizing it.... so beware  8)

Almost there...

And here we are... big warehouse ... maybe some good surprise?

I use to appreciate this short moment... when you're waiting behind a door ...

...wondering what games you'll discover... or not  ::) ;D  :

Chat with the seller, very nice  :) Before talking about the game I'm gonna take, let's visit the place  8)

A lot of electro-mecca games... and old pinballs...

Some interesting games... but not for sale yet! Too bad, I like this... Berzerk  8)

Argh! Space Invaders pinballs... I'm also a big fan, but they are not for sale for the moment...

Break Out :

Pac Man mini cabaret... huh ... converted  :-\

Cocktail...

A ton of boards...impossible to access them unfortunately

A lot of everything... everywhere...

...a lot of Jukebox ...

Again, electro-mecca games... interesting, I admit... but not my kind of 'drug'  ;)

OK, I'm here for this  :P

M.A.C.H. 3

Guess what? I've never played it... but I love that cabinet... the cabinet is not common here : it's even the first time I've an opportunity to buy one... it's not too far ... not too expensive ... so ... deal!

Let's move this monster for an other era'  ;D

Not to heavy? ...normal, there is NO monitor...  :-\

That cab' is not thick but rather long

The overall condition is very good as you can see..

...just a lot of dust... but see... it looks very very nice  :P :-*

So yes, I'm already very happy  ;D

OK, this is it... time to load... even If I know it will fit because I've checked the cabinet size on the flyer, I  always have a doubt has this moment...

It looks ok so far...

Perfect... some usual protections, but... We've done the most important thing to do regarding laser disc games ... removing the LD player before laying down the cabinet for loading  ;)

Time to say good bye ... time to go back to Belgium...

ALLIANCE... do you see the 'snake' symbol? ... for some reason... I've the impression that I know this symbol since I'm all the time... strange ... each time I see it... It speaks to me ... strange (no, I didn't smoke  ;D ;D ;D)

I'm hungry... Hey... a big mall along the road... because it's Sunday, all the shops are closed...

Except this... thanks God

Hey, the sun start to shine... time to give some fresh air to my latest T-shirt  :D

Still in France ... remember to drive slowly ... see ... one of these automatic speed limit radar ...did you see it?

After crossing the Luxembourg border, we are now at the Belgium border...  8)

There's no place like home  ;) Let's 'analyze' the data :

389 km / 5h47 on road.

Belgium > Luxembourg > France > Luxembourg > Belgium

I would like to thanks Zebassprophet for pointing me the add about this game, you're the man!  :-* :-* :-* :-*

To come : unloading the game + check up  8)

Great catch! Never played the game either, probably because it's a LD game, and MAME doesn't like LD games without the actual LD :D.

That's a lot of EM games there, I bet Ully will be interested in these ;)

Now you know where your pole position steering wheel is coming from...
stephane is a real cool and mad collector of pinball and jukeboxes.
And He also has good skills in repairing them.
His warehouse makes you feel the passion...

Great catch! Never played the game either, probably because it's a LD game, and MAME doesn't like LD games without the actual LD :D.

The game is fully playable either in MAME or Daphne. Make sure you get the latest versions.

LD games require .chd files, which I don't have.
I downloaded the latest full mame database but there are only rom files, no chd files.

I hear a little voice say:

"Chicken, rescue like a robot !"

If the owner is going the keep/restore the Berzerk himself, he should order one Cmoore's repro Control Panels !

GREAT catch there Bruno ! Congrats, and I loved seeing these summery pictures in this crazy "old-school" winter :D

OMG......a Chicago Coins Speedway !!!!

This was _the_ racing game I used to play as kid at the camping-site. The machine is from 1969 so only 2 years younger than I am. So, this was already a pretty old game when I played it....

I mastered the game at one point. The problem with those mechanical games is that they have no randomness. At one moment I could play it endlessly because I knew the steering pattern by heart.

Here's a video of the game, but the player SUCKS at it:

Haha, that player really does suck. The 'ACCIDENT' light almost doesn't go out ;D. Looks like a cool game though.

It is indeed quite fun to play. If I had loads of room I'd chase a cab like that. I love it for the mechanics alone....

But let's stick on topic :D

Well, since these pictures were posted by the OP, I think it's still kinda on-topic ;)

I'm most fascinated by this one:

I'm really curious what it is and how it plays?
